After you decided getting a piercing you should mind some basic stuff: The most important thing is feeling that you are save and in good hands with your piercer. You should never let someone who makes an incompetent or dilettante impression work on your costliest good - your body. Another important thing is, that the piercing is accomplished after generally hygenic guidelines, wich means as much as the jewellery has to be sterile and must be consisting of suitable material and a sterile (one-way) needle is used. An initial disinfection is also important. Further the piercer should have understandably clarified you about how the care and handling of the piercing later is, how possible risks and complications would look. And even if there is a piercing you absolutely want to have, the anatomy of the body doesn't have unlimited possibilities for this kind of decoration, so it's possible that the piercer can't do the exact piercing you want.
